Centric: Building a consistent digital foundation
The challenge
Centric is a Dutch IT services provider operating in several European countries. Its website needs to reflect a consistent brand identity across all markets, while allowing local teams to tailor content to their audiences. With 56 page types, approximately 30 content blocks and several editorial teams working in the CMS, this is a complex undertaking. The challenge was to combine a consistent digital identity with an intuitive editing experience and a scalable technical foundation that can evolve alongside the organisation.
The solution
We began by improving Centric's existing Wagtail platform. Working closely with Centric, we enhanced the underlying software, simplified content management and made the CMS interface more intuitive. Building on these improvements, we implemented a complete website redesign by Cube. The result is a consistent digital platform across Centric's markets. Local editors can tailor content to their audiences while maintaining a recognisable brand identity and a consistent user experience. The platform is designed to scale and evolve as Centric's needs change.

Understand first. Then improve
Rather than starting with a redesign, we first focused on understanding the existing platform. Centric and Four Digits took the time to understand each other's processes and how the platform was being used. How was the Wagtail CMS being used? What challenges were editors facing? Which parts of the software could be improved These insights led to a series of targeted improvements. We enhanced the editing experience and made the CMS interface clearer and more intuitive. With these improvements in place, we moved on to the next stage: a complete website redesign.
Bringing design and development together
We worked with Cube on the website redesign, with each team contributing its own expertise. Centric brought its knowledge of the organisation, its users and its ambitions. Cube translated these insights into a modern, recognisable digital identity. Four Digits handled the technical implementation, creating a scalable platform that is easy to manage. But the project was about more than what visitors see. Behind the scenes, the platform also needed to operate smoothly and efficiently. We structured page types and content blocks to make everyday editing straightforward while supporting future growth. This approach ensures that design, development and usability work together.
